Autogynophilia is not the only sexual preference which involves the ‘love of oneself as’. Indeed, as Blanchard himself noted there are a number of sexual behaviors in which rather than desire a sexual target, the subject desires to be the target. The existence of such sexualities is for me, one of the most convincing proofs that autogynophilia is a real distinct sexual phenomena and not just nature’s unintended consequence of being transgender.
