You think you know the real Spain, but you don’t.

It’s not really a tourist versus local thing. It’s a class thing. Until you live in the barrio (the neighbourhood), you don’t got a clue about Spain.

Say we hang out in Six Beach City and you tell me you want a quite reasonable, everyday thing: a beer. Within three square kilometres of my house, you are immediately going to encounter the real Spain. There’s a bar round the corner from me where the owner claims no woman has entered for fourteen years (it’s Moroccan and doesn’t sell beer anyway.) Then you discover that 90% of the bars are owned by Chinese families. And then there’s McDonald’s… where they sell beer (alien concept to the Anglo Saxon mind👽.)

And should you find a so-called authentic Spanish bar, you’ll find a place where they give you a bit of food with each beer. Free. Yes, that’s tapas, and it isn’t some exotic highbrow delectable from the New York Times food section. It’s usually a manky bit of bread topped with an unidentified egg-and-tuna type thing  with nothing but a piece of perspex to shield it from the coughs and sneezes of all in sundry.

So what’s all that got to do with this post?

It’s chimba!

For reasons you’ll discover if you sign up For True Feminization 3.0, chimba is the word for a correct answer in your assignment – (the link of which I enclose here). And it’s Colombian Spanish, because in this neighbourhood immigrants stick with immigrants, and you’re far more likely to make a Colombian friend than a Spanish one. And even more if you part of the trans community because a huge part of the trans community in Six Beach are from Latin America.

Excuse the brutally short preview, but I’m not trying to make a preview as such… I just need a staging post for the new students because as they have discovered it’s been a bit of a dash to get everything done. Password is the name of my dog if you fancy your chances of guessing🤔
