Copyright reporting and other violations
Novagirl operates as a passive hosting and intermediary service provider under Section 512 of the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and Article 16 of the EU Digital Services Act (DSA, Regulation EU 2022/2065).
We offer platform services that allow users to upload, store, and display digital media. Pursuant to applicable statutory safe harbors, Novagirl does not engage in general monitoring, active screening, or editorial control over user-submitted media prior to publication.
Upon receiving a valid copyright notification, Novagirl acts expeditiously to remove or disable access to the identified material in accordance with established DMCA and DSA Notice-and-Action procedures.
You can report a Shot or post if:
– it uses your photo, artwork or writing without your permission
– it shows you, or someone you know, without consent
– it’s hateful, threatening or harassing
– it breaks the law in some other way
How to report
Email [email protected] with:
– a link to the Shot, or the author’s name and roughly when it was posted
– what the problem is
– if it’s your work, a link to the original or a few words on how we can tell it’s yours
Copyright
You don’t need a lawyer or a formal legal notice to get your work taken down. If it’s clearly yours, tell us, and it comes down as soon as we’ve seen it. We use common sense, not paperwork.
We also accept formal notices under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the EU Copyright Directive and the EU Digital Services Act, and the equivalent laws of other countries. Anyone who repeatedly posts work that isn’t theirs loses their account.
What happens next
Every report is read by a real person. We’ll look into it as quickly as we can, and if the Shot breaks our rules or someone else’s rights, it comes down. We may get back to you if we need more detail.
We don’t share who made a report with the person who posted.
Please use this page in good faith. Copyright claims must come from the person who owns the work, or someone acting for them. This page is not a tool for harassing or trolling Novagirl’s members or staff, and reports made in bad faith will be ignored.
Hate reporting
Novagirl maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for hate speech, harassment, discrimination, or abusive targeted content directed at gender-variant individuals or any protected group. While Novagirl operates as an open platform hosting user-generated posts, we act aggressively to remove content that violates our community standards. If you encounter a post containing harmful or hateful material, tap the three-dot menu on the specific Shot and select “Report this Shot” (or contact moderation directly at [email protected]). All reports are reviewed, and verified violations will result in the immediate removal of the content and permanent termination of the publishing account.
